The 22 fret maple neck has a contrasting dark fingerboard. I have played this neck in the past - it is rounder than a standard Squier neck, easy to play and easy to glide across the frets. Great value. Tuning machine heads are 6 on one side, chrome button, closed gear and do the job more than adequately.
